Prepress Prepress, PAO, Desktop publishing The training in Press and digital publishing enables the students to be ready for computer graphics professions that are connected with paper bases or electronic media. Three main stages in the creation of communicative media make up the framework of the course:
- Graphics creation initiates the achievement of any possible and imaginable work that can be logotypes, brand images, pictograms, signage, leaflets, catalogues, magazines, posters, etc. The sketches, drawing, visual communication, typography…courses are important here.
- The layout helps complete the creation works previously achieved, conjugate them and gives to the IT tool a meaning on a productive level. These are the computer graphics courses given in laboratories that help above all to broach those subjects.
- At last, the inking-in is important at the end to prepare the documents to be entrusted to subcontractors such as photo-engraving workshops, cut-out workshops, printing houses, post-press workshops
. A course of inking-in goes into details and is supported by other printing houses or other media and inks.
Projects achieved in collaboration with companies enable, as early as the 2nd year, to help the students to progressively be in a professional position while being framed by the school framework.
The courses are a reflection of the stages making up the graphics chain that every computer artist has to master in his activity.
