In September 2000, with the help of employers' organizations confronted with a dire lack of certifying training courses, and at a time when on-the-job training of technicians and artists of all sorts was the only answer to the increasingly specialized needs of the companies in this sector, the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard (university-level higher education institution) created the Bachelor in Computer Graphics Techniques. If the situation somewhat changed because of the arrival on the market of young adults with a degree from the Haute Ecole, we can still say that most experts who work in the digital image sector have learned their skills while working.

By massively resorting to those pioneers, The Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard created a training that meets the current challenges: to train certificated young people who have high-level skills in the graphic as well as the technical fields, artists perfectly aware of the technical obligations of the industry in which they are working, artists who are also capable of adjusting to a multidisciplinary team and to abide by the financial requirements.
